Key needs for the job;
- Candidates must be familiar with Unity and how to use it to place sound into a game environment. This includes ambient area noise, triggered sounds such as footsteps or weapons, and setting up and understanding reverb zones.
- Be team oriented, willingness to share processes and ideas with other team members.
- Ability to put in about 10 to 12+ hours a week working on project assignments.
- Requires a profit sharing payment arrangement (each assignment completed should be worth between $1,500 to $3,000 for every 100,000 units of game sales, (based on if they are for the Core Game or Expansion packs). Payments to begin early to mid 2018 when the game goes into Early Access and will continue for many years as the game continues to sell.
- No previous industry skill is required, just a deep passion in your work.
Skills & Requirements
- Working within the Unity Game Engine to add audio to a video game, working with tools found natively within Unity as well as a couple sound tools created by our programming team.
- While your main focus will be implementation, you may be required to do some sound design so traditional audio post workflow knowledge is also important.
- Work remotely, access to high speed internet required.
- Weekly online meetings to communicate with the rest of the audio department.
- Candidates must also be able to work within the DAW of their choice to create basic sound effects.
- Excellent communication and collaborative problem solving skills
